Popeyes is planning a new location in Carmichael at 7350 Fair Oaks Blvd. A planning application with the county of Sacramento states the following:

A Use Permit for a drive-through with amplified sound located within 300 feet of a residential zoning district, and a Major Design Review for improvements to an existing building with existing drive-through lanes, to a new Popeyes Chicken, including build.

Other nearby establishments include Vons Chicken, Jimboy’s Tacos, Jamba Juice, Halal Bitez, Adalberto’s Mexican Restaurant and Shogun Sushi.

Popeyes recently opened its newest location at 4601 Watt Ave in North Highlands in April. No other locations are planned in the Sacramento area that we are currently aware of.

Popeyes was founded in 1972 in New Orleans and got its start serving traditional Southern-fried chicken. It currently boasts more than 3700 locations globally.
